Life skills education

In these situations, you should avoid lending money to prevent losing it and regretting it later.

Finances are always a source of worry for many people. It's not just about managing expenses and saving, but it can also be linked to relationships. In life, we inevitably encounter situations where people approach us asking to borrow money. However, not everyone who asks deserves our help.

3 people you should absolutely never lend money to.

A person who lacks credibility, a person who frequently breaks promises.

Those who have borrowed things or money and never repaid it, or who have broken promises, are the first type of people you should avoid lending money to. Lending to them is the beginning of a long and exhausting cycle of trying to collect the debt with no hope. Don't let your kindness be exploited by those who disregard personal honor.

A person who loves pleasure and is lazy.

Those who refuse to work honestly, who only want to rely on others and use their money for extravagant spending, luxury shopping, or gambling, will be unable to repay their debts. Lending money in this case is aiding and abetting their bad habits and ultimately costing you your own money.

Someone I hadn't contacted in a long time suddenly reappeared to borrow money.

If someone you haven't contacted or checked in with in a long time suddenly returns just to borrow money, chances are they've tried everywhere else without success, and you're their last resort. After receiving the money, they're likely to disappear again, and it will be very difficult for you to get the money back.

3 things you absolutely shouldn't spend money on.

Investing in things you don't fully understand.

Don't be swayed by rumors or blindly follow the stories of others getting rich quickly from fields like real estate, stocks, or cryptocurrencies, and immediately invest without sufficient knowledge. A lack of understanding can lead to financial ruin.

Spending for the sake of appearances.

Spending money lavishly on designer goods, luxury cars, and lavish parties, only to receive empty praise while lacking the financial means to cover all these expenses, is a huge mistake. Instead of using money to show off your status when you don't have that much, it's best to focus on spending wisely and for practical purposes.

Entering into a business partnership solely out of respect for someone.

Never rush into a business venture just because a relative or close friend invites you to, without careful consideration. Business without a clear plan and a legally binding contract will lead to significant risks. The blurring of lines between personal feelings and financial gain can cause you to lose everything – both money and relationships.
